PCS had the amazing opportunity to go fishing for PCS had the amazing opportunity to go fishing for Ha'limootk / 'Wäh (Oolichan). A big t'oya̱xsut nüüsim goes to Harvey Russel from the Gitwilgyoots Laxsgyiik House and SD52's Indigenous Education Department. PCS had a Luncheon yesterday for all students and their families where they cooked up the 'wäh and served it in addition to some hon (salmon), vegetarian chilli, fruit salad and rice. #RupertSchools

Today we had the honour of welcoming back Ts’msy Today we had the honour of welcoming back Ts’msyen educator and author, Jo Chrona. Participants explored several key teachings from her recent book Wayi Wah: Indigenous Pedagoies. We unpacked the nuances of becoming anti-racist educators and furthering our professional growth and understanding in this important area. We’d like to thank the Joint Professional Development Committee for hosting this valuable learning event. T’oyaxsut ‘Nüün Jo Chrona for supporting us in this work! #RupertSchools
